One way to locate a reputable trainer in your neighborhood is to contact a national Dog Trainer Association such as the APDT, or
CAPPDT.
Although not a guaranty to find a mindful dog professional, trainers interested to be a member are generally also interested to communicate with other expert, and/or to learn and explore everything dog. Not every organization monitors or pre-checks members, it is, in my opinion, still a preferred resource to find help.
